Future Talent: Tyler Wise

By David Cordova

In the grammar school level, there is a great talent blossoming within the elementary school scene. This past week, I caught up with Tyler Wise, a fifth grader from the New Heights AAU program at the Tri-State Classic spring league. Here’s the Q&A session:

When did you first start playing ball?

When I was 3 years old.

Who’s your favorite basketball player?

LeBron James.

Who’s your favorite basketball team?

The Cleveland Cavaliers.

What are your grades like in school?

A’s & B’s.

What is your highest-point total?

I once scored 30 points.

Where do you see yourself in the future?

I would like to play Division I basketball in college and in the NBA.
