Now that AAU season is here, there are is a lot of major competition floating around the country, especially on the middle school scene.
The 8Eye Future Classic, in its second year of inception, will be taking place on Saturday, May 2nd, at Benjamin Franklin High School in Philadelphia. This event, founded by famed videographer Jamie Boyer, has become a premier showcase for plenty of seventh & eighth graders.
Last year’s game brought out some elite players that are now finishing their freshman year of high school, such as:
Atiba Taylor – Hackensack HS, Hackensack, NJ
Ja’Quaye James – Teaneck HS, Teaneck, NJ
Nazreon Reid – Roselle Catholic. Roselle, NJ
Donovann Toatley – St. Stephen’s & St. Agnes, Alexandria, VA
Cameron Reddish – The Haverford School, Haverford, PA
Luther Muhammad – Hudson Catholic, Jersey City, NJ
Jahvon Quinerly – Hudson Catholic, Jersey City, NJ
The first game of this year’s event featuring the 7th graders, also known as the class of 2020, will take take place at 12PM. The main event, the 8th grade game, which will showcase the best players in the class of 2019, will take place at 1:30 PM. Admission is $10 at the door.
